Position Title
Assistant Professor
- Center for Neuroscience
- Department of Mathematics
- Department of Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior
I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Davis, with a joint appointment between the departments of Mathematics and Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior.
I did my PhD in Applied Mathematics at Yale University under the supervision of Xiao-Jing Wang, working on modeling the large-scale dynamics of the cortex and related mathematical questions. I followed that with a one year postdoc at NYU, also with Xiao-Jing Wang, before moving to UT Austin to work with Ila Fiete. My primary focus while at UT was studying short- and long-term memory in the brain. In the spring of 2018 I spent a semester at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing at UC Berkeley before returning to UT to finish my postdoc there. I joined UC Davis in April of 2019.
